Our refinery plays a major role in the region in satisfying local demand for fuel products as the local economy continues to grow at a and also helps the Country to export more refined products as it reduces it's high sulfur fuel-oil build-up.

The Bazian refinery reduces the countries fuel import costs and subsequently achieves more savings.

More about Iraq

Iraq is one of the top holders of proved oil reserves in the world. Iraq has five supergiant fields (defined as holding more than 5 billion barrels of oil reserves) in the south. These supergiant fields account for almost 50% of Iraq’s total estimated reserves. An estimated 20% of oil resources are located in northern Iraq, including the areas of Kirkuk, Irbil, and Mosul.
